Vive Suction Grab Bar review
The short version: The cheapest way to put a handle on a wall. Fine on glass and perfectly smooth tile, unconvincing on anything textured, and the body flexes under load.
Good for
- A spare for a guest bathroom
- Travel on a tight budget
Not for
- Textured tile
- Users over roughly 180 lb leaning hard
Where it works
On a shower glass panel it seals well and the textured band is genuinely easy to grab wet.
On the matte tile in my downstairs bathroom it lost suction overnight twice in a week.
The flex problem
Pull hard and the handle bows before the suction gives. It recovers, but the flex is unsettling at the exact moment you want certainty.
For the price difference, the wider pads and stiffer body on our #1 are the upgrade I would make.
